May 6th Sunday Set List

Posted by worship180 under Sunday Set List

Happy May everyone! Can you believe that we are already here? if you are in St. Louis then you’re wondering why it’s 90 degrees already. I know I am. Oh well. This week I decided to take it back today. As a musician we hear music all the time and sometimes we get tired of certain songs and choose to not sing them when we are done with them. At the end of the day we find out that our churches loves those songs and when we sing them people lock into the singing in a way like no other. I’ve found that out today. This is what we sang.

Take My Life (Here Am I)

You Are God Alone (Not a god)

God of Wonders

Holy is the Lord

You Are My King

I told you! We took it back today. What is being sung in your church today?

Check out what some other people are singing this week here.

Sunday Set List April 22.12

Today is one of those days that I’m just excited for. I can’t really explain why, but I kinda am. I think it’s because I took some time to try and make this service look a little different. We are going to do a couple things differently with the set up and the musical styles. I’ve said it before, I get bored sometimes and so I have to mix things up. Here’s to hoping that it works and doesn’t crash and burn. LOL This is what we are mixing up this morning.

Victory in Jesus -Opener

Song Set

How He Loves

You Are Good

Your Love Never Fails

So Good to Me- After Sermon

I should start doing video for some of these Sunday mornings and then putting the videos here. Then we could look and see later if the songs actually did what I wanted them to. Either way, that’s what we are singing this week. I hope your Sunday will be a blessed one! Listen to what God has to say to you today because I guarantee you that He is speaking.

April 15th Sunday Set List

Happy first Sunday after Easter! The little joke that goes around churches is that this Sunday is generally the one that the associates get to preach and lead because the main guys are taking a break. Well that’s not so much the case here at The Word at Shaw. We are going headlong into a new sermon series called Game Changer. We talked about it and realized that the Holy Spirit is the game changer when it comes to all the different religions our there. First, Jesus rose from the dead, which is something no other leader can say. Secondly, when He ascended back to heaven, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to live in us and work through us. That’s the difference maker. So here we are. Our song set this week looks like this.

Hosanna -Paul Baloche

I Give Myself Away -William McDowell

Enough -Chris Tomlin

Hallelujah -Brenton Brown

Jesus Messiah -Chris Tomlin

What are you singing this Sunday at your church?

Easter Weekend Music

Posted by worship180 under Sunday Set List

Well, I made it to the end of one of the longest weeks I’ve ever experienced! I can’t believe how tired I am right now. God did some really cool stuff and it was obviously His doing because by the time I got to this morning, I was running on fumes. Here is what we sang on Good Friday and this morning.

Good Friday Tenebrae Service

What Wondrous Love Is This

Alas and Did My Savior Bleed

O Come, O Come Emmanuel

The Wonderful Cross

I Stand Amazed (How Marvelous)

What Child Is This

Easter Sunday Morning

I Stand Amazed

In Christ Alone

All Because of Jesus

Christ is Risen

Jesus Paid It All

Glory to God Forever

So that’s what we sang at The Word at Shaw this weekend. What about you?

I have decided that we are  not singing any songs this week.

APRIL FOOLS! Sorry, had to do it. Anyway, I’m excited about today. It’s a new month, and in St. Louis it’s pretty much already summer. Today is Palm Sunday and it marks the start of a major holiday week for the Christian faith. So much of who we are rides on what happens this next weekend, but the story starts today with the triumphant entry of Christ…on a donkey.

The songs we are singing today reflect some of the joy in celebration of this time and sets us up for what is to come over the next few days. Here’s what our set looks like today.

How Great Thou Art

Hosanna (Hillsong)

So Good to Me- Cory Asbury

Everlasting God

Majesty- Delirious?

So that’s our set for today. What are they singing at your church?

Today is going to be an interesting day. First of all, I’m not feeling the best, so it will be interesting to see just how much I have to give. Other than that, we have a new sermon series, new stage design and communion. Also, I used a lot of people last month, so I’m giving some people a break. So my group is quite small this week. Oh well, we will make it work. Here is what we are singing at The Word at Shaw this week.

Marvelous Light-Charlie Hall

Here For You-Matt Redman

Revelation Song-Jennie Lee Riddle

Nothing But the Blood-Robert Lowry

February Wrap Up Sunday Set List

Good morning all! What a random weather weekend we had here in St. Louis! We don’t know how Spring is going to enter, but we know that Winter has been acting rather schizophrenic all season long. Oh well, we are wrapping up our sermon series on Collision Course. This month has been pretty jammed packed. We started a couple new things with the Pastors Chat and our family lunch this afternoon. There has been a lot of new music along with a huge Black History Celebration last week. We are about to springboard right into March! Here’s what we are singing today to wrap up this month.

Mighty to Save-Opener

If God Be For Me

You Are Good

Forever Reign

How Great Is Our God-Sending Song

Should be a good day here at The Word at Shaw. Join us if you don’t already have somewhere to go. Before I wrap this up, I want to say happy day of birth to Adelyn Maelie Susan Smith. She was born this morning at 2:39! She’s simply beautiful and I hope to get to see her today after church. Congrats Brittany and Smitty! Love you guys!

Happy Palindrome Sunday! I know it’s not really a thing, but that’s what I do. I hope you’re all doing well today. Despite a short night of sleep I seem to be rolling along pretty well. This morning is the second in the series Collision Course. We have a few new things that we will be rolling out today, including a new song and something called Pastors’ Chat after the service. Exciting times! Here’s what we are singing this morning at The Word at Shaw.

Opener-Come Thou Fount

If God Be For Me/Ricardo Sanchez This is the new song I was talking about. It is on the newest SongDiscovery CD from Worship Leader Magazine. I’m sure you can go to the website and get a taste of this song.

You Are God Alone (Not a god)/Billy Foote and Cindy Foote

Your Love Never Fails/Chris McClarney

Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)/John Newton, Chris Tomlin

So there’s our music this week. What are they singing at your church? Share with me!
